Welcome to OurSpringfield.info the community website for Springfield, Chelmsford. Homer, the most famous resident of that other Springfield has a lot to answer for the laughter we generate when we tell people we live in Springfield!! 
The word community conjures up a lot of different things but if you live in Springfield you are part of the community! Today’s lifestyle means that we probably spend less time in the area we live than happened say 100 or 50 years ago. To spend an evening with friends we may well drive to another town or go to London. Even our shopping takes us not only out of Springfield but probably out of Chelmsford as we shop in Lakeside and Bluewater.
This website is to highlight the good things about living in Springfield and hopefully give you some information you did not know. Did you know the Essex Show used to be held in Bodmin Road before it transferred to Great Leighs!!
We have put on these pages a directory of local services plus a little about our area, but we are dependent on you for more 
information. Relay For Life
Relay For Life is a unique and inspirational community-led event, organised by a group of volunteers, that celebrates those who survive cancer and pays tribute to those who are touched by it. It brings together communities, Survivors and those who have been touched by cancer to celebrate life and help raise money for Cancer Research UK.
